On the 20th April 1996, I was born in Singapore General Hospital and I was being given up for adoption.
Of course, I didn’t know this was going on at the time but to this day it’s a part of my life that I am proud of. Even when my parents sat me down at the age of 6 saying, “Now we know you must realise you look different to us, do you have any questions about being adopted?” I have no recollection of being phased by this news.
